Ways to remembe prom2025
Okay, so your prom is just a few weeks, or even days away. You have been planning for this day since you were a little girl. As a photographer I love documenting events like this, and here are some pointers on how you can do it too.
Don’t forget the details – Photograph your ticket, shoes, jewelry, perfume and well of course your dress.
Hair & Makeup – Before and after are fun, as well as documenting someone doing your hair. Photograph the makeup that is being used, too! And if you are having your makeup professionally done, get the name of the lipstick or a sample before you leave.
First Look – Coordinate a first look with your parents. Have someone snap some shots of them first seeing you in your dress. You can also do this with your date.
Your Besties – Do photograph your besties all dressed up. Make sure you are in the middle of the group. Make sure you are all smiling, or serious or silly at the same time. Photograph your shoes in a group too! Link arms, walk, and laugh.
With your family – As much as the prom is for you, your parents and family members have dreamed of this day too. Include them in a few pictures together.
Venue – It can be challenging to take photos in a dark-lit venue, so try to go outside, if you can, to take your photos. They will come out so much better. If inside, you will want to use your flash on your phone.
I hope you find these pointers helpful! I would love to see the photos you took with them in mind! Please tag me to see how helpful they were.
